Yes. A person may stay on MAT for up to four years. A person who comes in on any MOUD other than Suboxone will likely be switched to Suboxone once they are sentenced.

A person coming into any of our facilities (available in all 8 Delaware DOC facilities) may stay on MAT/MOUD upon verifications with their community provider. They would typically stay on that medication until release or time of sentence (Delaware is a unified state meaning we have both sentenced and unsentenced/pretrial persons). A person coming into a facility not on MOUD may be initiated by a provider.
