Including Incarcerated Mothers:

My work encourages us to think about the role prison system-induced trauma plays in the development and experience of PPD among incarcerated mothers and the various inroads of advocacy that can be made.  It is also a particular invitation for those affected by this issue to redefine PPD in the carceral space for themselves. Using this padlet, formerly incarcerated women who have experienced pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, and/or PPD are free to map their experiences anonymously. This padlet allows individuals to be as specific or general with the location; please choose what feels most comfortable.

Including Care Providers:

Providers and abolitionist advocates are also integral to the process of redefining PPD within the carceral space. Using this padlet providers and advocates can anonymously map their experiences working with incarcerated mothers with PPD as well as resources. This padlet allows individuals to be as specific or general with the location; please choose what feels most comfortable.
